This is one of the smallest tools AMAMCO makes. And it does one of the biggest jobs.

The maker of the world's largest turbine generators began to get complaints that cracks were forming where the turbine blades slide into the disc. Follow-up revealed that the cracks were forming as an unanticipated result of the manufacturing process: a sharp angle in the turbine disc became stress risers as the turbine operated.

AMAMCO worked with a local machine shop for more than a year to develop this specialized custom tool to remove the stress risers. The tool is part of a tool kit for turbines around the world. Because failure was not an option, they turned to AMAMCO.
