PCD (polycrystalline diamond) is a synthetic crystalline diamond material which can be bonded with a carbide substrate at extreme temperatures to provide one of the hardest, longest-lasting cutting surfaces available.

PCD technology is used for drills, routers, and reamers, when tool life is crucial, or when the application calls for an extremely hard cutting surface.

For example, PCD tooling can be ideal for cutting composites, or stacks consisting of various materials such as aluminum, or fiberglass.
